Our Kitchen

Under the guidance of Head Chef Edward Duracka, our kitchen at Rooted is a place where creativity meets tradition. We take pride in using fresh, seasonal ingredients and preparing dishes from scratch. Ours is a scratch kitchen where care and time are put into baking buns for our burgers, blending spices for our sausage, and crafting delicious and soul-satisfying dishes that reflect the flavors of the Midwest. Chef Eddie has a heart of gold and pours his passion for food and family into every dish. Once you have a taste, you'll understand.

Our History

Rooted captures the charm and history of the original Minooka, IL post office where it is housed. This space is one of the few buildings on Mondamin Street that survived the Great Fire of 1887.  Until 1852, the site of the village of Minooka was a grass covered prairie hill overlooking the Illinois River valley. Join us for a memorable meal where the past meets the present while soaking in the rich history of this unique space.
